The Aunties




Teyana “Spike Tey” Taylor launched her all female production company, The Aunties Inc., with her dancer and creative partner Coco Gilbert to help artists and companies like themselves achieve their full creative potential. The company has directed and produced content and music videos for artists including Sean “P Diddy”. Combs, Becky G, Doja Cat, Elton John, Wu-Tang, T.I., Meg Thee Stallion, Big Sean, Macy Gray, YG, Monica, Ty Dolla, School Boy Q, Wale and Bryson Tiller amongst others. The Aunties work earned Taylor the 2020 BET Award for Video Director of the Year. They have also directed and produced content in the endorsement space for brands including Old Spice, GAP and Fear of God. The company also co-produced the documentary Assembly Required in association with Redbull, which documented the making of Taylor’s most ambitious concert to date. Overall, The Aunties main contribution in the industry is to produce work that is authentic and shift the narrative of traditional filmmaking, while remaining elite storytellers behind the lens.
